TEAM DUTY AND FIELD DUTY POLICY

It is the responsibility of the home team manager and coaches for the first scheduled game of the day to ensure that both team duty and field duty assignments are covered. Failure to fulfill these responsibilities will be reported to the League Vice President and may result in disciplinary action, including manager suspension or game forfeiture.

Pre-Game Responsibilities (Home Team)

• The home team must prepare the field at least 30 minutes prior to game time.

• A minimum of one individual must be on-site to complete set-up.

• Duties include:

  • Placing or adjusting bases to the correct distance

  • Raking the field if needed

  • Chalking lines

  • Ensuring the field is safe for play

Post-Game Responsibilities (Last Game of the Day)

• The last teams playing are responsible for:

  • Removing bases

  • Raking the field

  • Turning off lights (for night games)

General Responsibilities (All Teams)

• Each team is responsible for cleaning up their dugout and surrounding area after every game.
